Marsden M-410 Portable Baby/Toddler Scales

The Marsden M-410 baby scale is a portable and lightweight medical scale for weighing babies, toddlers, and children. With a 50kg capacity and can be used to weigh a wider age range of children than the Marsden M-400.

This easy-to-use scale features a secure, hygienic slide on/off baby weighing pan. When the weighing pan is removed, the floor scale is suitable for children to stand on.

What are Class III Approved baby scales?

Class III Approved scales - like the M-410 - are built, tested, verified, and calibrated to meet a specific standard. The NAWI directive determines these standards - stating all scales ‘used in the determination of mass in the practice of medicine for the purpose of monitoring, diagnosis, and medical treatment’ must be Class III Approved. Approved weighing scales are subject to rigorous testing by an EU notified body, which provides assurance to the user of the scales that they are accurate and reliable.

Who uses the M-410?

With 50kg capacity, the M-410 is ideal for weighing babies and toddlers. Neonatal and paediatric units, health centres and baby clinics can benefit from the scale’s robustness, easy to use features and accuracy to 10g. The M-410 is light, too, so midwives and health visitors can easily transport the scale between appointments.

Why should I choose the M-410 instead of the M-400?

The Marsden M-400 Portable Baby Scale and M-410 Baby/Toddler Scale are virtually identical. Both are high precision Class III Approved and MDD Approved baby weighing scales, and both feature a robust, aluminium-reinforced base that is shared with our M-420 and M-430 Floor Scales.

Both also feature a slide on-off weighing pan for babies.

However, where they are different is in their capacities. The M-400 has a capacity of 20kg and an accuracy as low as 5g. The M-410 has a capacity of 50kg, meaning that it is suitable for not just weighing babies and toddlers, but older children too.

This baby scale is portable and lightweight, and a carry case is available for easy transportation. The M-410 is powered by 6x AA batteries.

The Tare function can be used to remove any unwanted weight. The Hold function stabilises the weight reading.

Bluetooth connectivity is available if wish to send weight information wirelessly from the scale to a database. Marsden does not provide software for receiving weight data from your scale.
