The M-955 is a high capacity, Class III Approved bed weigher, consisting of an indicator, trolley and four low-profile weigh pads. The pads of the M-955 are slightly longer than our standard M-950 Bed Weighing Scale, making it perfect for accommodating the double castor beds made by Medstrom. The M-955 can be purchased as a 1000kg capacity scale (with 500g graduations) or a 600kg capacity scale (with 200g graduations).

What are Class III Approved scales?

Class III Approved medical scales, like the M-900, are built, tested, verified, and calibrated in order to meet a specific standard. Class III scales must be used ‘in the determination of mass in the practice of medicine for the purpose of monitoring, diagnosis, and medical treatment’. Find out more in the NAWI directive. To give the user assurance of accuracy and reliability, an EU notified body will test Approved scales rigorously.

Why should I purchase the M-955 bed weigher?

Choose the M-955 if you need to weigh bedbound patients, and require longer pads to suit double castor beds, such as those from Medstrom.

The M-955 has a choice of capacity and graduation options: 1000kg x 500g or 600kg x 200g.

Using the M-955 to weigh bedridden patients is easy. Simply switch the bed scale on, place a pad next to each castor and roll the bed onto the scale. There are low-profile ramps on each pad to minimise the effort required to roll the bed onto the pads.

The weight of the bed can be removed from the reading, leaving just the precise weight of the patient showing, by using Tare and Preset Tare functions. The numeric keypad allows the height of the patient to be entered - the scale can then automatically calculate BMI.

The four pads included have integrated carry handles, making the M-955 a portable scale. Additionally, the M-955’s trolley makes transporting the pads and indicator easy.

This bed scale can also be connected to a printer for a permanent record of a patient’s weight, or choose the optional Bluetooth or Wifi connectivity for information transfer to patient databases.
